Dr. Nirav Kumar is one of the leading cardiologists in Bihar and Jharkhand, with over 30 years of experience in the field of cardiology. He is a pioneer in interventional cardiology and has contributed significantly to the development of the cardiology department in the region. Currnetly working As the Director of Cardiology at BIG Apollo Spectra Hospital, Dr. Nirav is known for his expertise in complex cardiovascular interventions and his commitment to providing the highest standard of care to his patients.

• Joined as assistant professor in dept of cardiology in Feb 2013.
• Promoted associate professor in 07/ 2016.
• Promoted as additional professor in 07/2019.
• Promoted as professor of cardiology in 08/ 2023.

• I was one of the founder member who started interventional cardiology at IGIMS.
• I was among  the 1st team who started DM cardiology course at IGIMS.
• We are doing all possible coronary, peripheral intervention which includes rota ablation, FFR, BMV, OCT, IVUS, uterine artery embolization, IVL, device closure, CRT, ICD
• Our cath lab is highest volume centre in Bihar and declared 2nd highest in term of volume in north east part of India  by NIC in 2022.
• Done more than 1 lakh coronary angiography.
• Done more than 30000 coronary angioplasty which include complex angioplasty like multivessel plasty, rotaablation, IVL, Bifurcation lesion.
• done more than 5000 permanent pacemaker implantation.
• special interest in peripheral intervention like uterine artery embolism , renal artery embolism and closure of bleeding abdominal artery.
• Well versed in ballon mitral valvoty, BPV, ASD closure, PDA closure
• I was leading CSI Bihar chapter in 2015-2017 as secretary. During my tenure Bihar was declare best branch by CSI India. 
• I was appointed as examiner for MBBS exam at SKMCH in 2021,22,23.
• I was appointed as inspector for dm seats by NMC in 2022 in nalla reddy medical college at Hydrabad.
